A dune buggy adventure in the Dubai desert is an exciting outdoor activity, but it is not suitable for everyone. The vehicles are powerful, and the ride involves uneven sand, bumps, turns and changing desert conditions. For this reason, we have a few important requirements and restrictions that every guest should understand before booking.
At Dubai Dune Buggy LLC, we want every guest to enjoy the experience safely and comfortably. Please read the following requirements before making your booking. If you are unsure whether you or someone in your group can participate, contact our team before your tour.
👤 Age Requirements
The minimum age for driving a dune buggy is 16 years, subject to the requirements of the selected buggy and tour.
Anyone under the required driving age cannot operate the vehicle, even when accompanied by an adult.
Passenger age requirements can be different from driver requirements depending on the buggy model and package. If children are travelling with you, please provide their ages when making your booking so our team can advise you about suitable options.
🤰 Pregnancy Restriction
Pregnant women are not allowed to participate in dune buggy rides.
The desert terrain includes bumps, vibrations, sudden movements and uneven surfaces, which can make the activity unsuitable during pregnancy.
This restriction applies even if the guest is not planning to drive the buggy.
🩺 Health & Medical Restrictions
A dune buggy ride is an active off-road experience and can involve strong movement and vibration. Guests with certain health conditions may not be suitable for the activity.

👴 Senior Citizens
Dune buggy rides may not be suitable for senior citizens, particularly where the activity could be affected by reduced mobility, balance problems or medical conditions.
For safety reasons, elderly guests should not participate if they may have difficulty handling the movement and vibration of an off-road ride.

👶 Young Children
Young children are not allowed to participate in dune buggy rides.
The minimum age for passengers can vary according to the buggy type and tour arrangement. Having an extra seat does not automatically mean that a young child can safely travel in the vehicle.
If children are part of your group, always tell us their ages when making your booking. We can advise you about suitable desert safari or family-friendly options.
🧑🏫 Driver Requirements
You do not need previous dune buggy or off-road driving experience for our guided tours.
Before entering the desert, drivers receive basic training and safety instructions from our instructor. You will be shown how to use the controls, steer, accelerate and brake, along with the basic rules for driving on sand.

🪪 Driving Eligibility
Drivers must meet the age and other requirements applicable to the selected buggy and tour.

Please provide accurate information when booking. Do not book a driving experience for someone who does not meet the stated requirements.
🚫 Alcohol & Drugs
Guests must not drive or participate while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Driving a powerful off-road vehicle requires concentration, coordination and good judgment. If a guest appears to be under the influence or unfit to drive, participation may be refused for safety reasons.
No refund should be expected where participation is refused because a guest arrives under the influence.
🏁 Reckless Driving Is Not Allowed
Dune buggy tours are controlled adventure experiences, not racing events.

🦺 Safety Equipment Must Be Used
All required safety equipment must be worn correctly throughout the ride.

👕 Clothing Requirements
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for an outdoor desert activity.
We recommend:
Avoid high heels, flip-flops, loose jewellery and clothing that could interfere with the vehicle or safety equipment.
📱 Personal Belongings
Keep your phone, camera, wallet and other belongings secure during the ride.
Loose items can fall out of the buggy or interfere with the driver. If you want to record the experience, make sure your camera or phone is securely attached or stored.
Never use a phone while driving in a way that distracts you from controlling the buggy.
🌡️ Weather & Desert Conditions
Desert conditions can change throughout the day. Extreme heat, strong winds, poor visibility or other unusual conditions may affect the activity.
For safety reasons, we may adjust the route, change the pace or suspend a ride when conditions are considered unsuitable.
The final decision regarding safe participation and operating conditions rests with the tour operator and instructor.
